Grand Teton National Park

My 2023 adventure in the American West concluded with an overnight visit to Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming.

During my brief visit to Grand Teton, I was met with conditions that photographers can only hope for — soft light, calm air, and that perfect touch of mountain drama. The vast wilderness here feels untamed and endless, where rugged peaks rise sharply above quiet valleys alive with elk, bison, and the occasional moose. Even in a short stay, the Tetons leave an impression that’s hard to shake — a reminder of how wild and beautiful the American West still is.

This Rocky Mountain Park has it all, and in a relatively small area, occupying the Teton Range. The stunning Tetons are always forefront when exploring the park, framed by vast wilderness and the occasional Mormon homestead. I was luckily treated to some wonderful conditions from the evening into a moonlit night, and brilliant morning light. This is a short series, but I was happy to visit some locations I had seen in books and online.
